When you become a mother - you've got a lot to talk about.
Peggy
I am the mom of three - one in college, one in high school, and one in middle school. I retired from the stress of corporate life two years ago and I am now a consultant, allowing me a little more free time to write. When I am not running to a sporting or school event, I like to fish, play with my dogs, and work in my garden. I love animals and my dream job would be to work in a zoo nursery!

Married for 10 years and a mom to two boys, The Baby and The Preschooler, I'm also a Personal Trainer and a writer. I’m actively involved in our MOMS Club chapter, serving as the President. My life is never boring! I keep myself busy juggling family life and professional life, all the while trying to find the time to write. An avid blogger, I write about my adventures in motherhood and marriage, my love of food in Fort Collins and share my knowledge of fitness and nutrition with published posts by FOX News, Reuters, USA Today iviliage and many other news sources.

I am a part-time OB/GYN, part-time writer, and part-time stay at home mom. Juggling so many hats can be complicated, but it sure does keep life interesting. I am the author of Pregnancy Dos and Don'ts (Broadway Books) and have contributed to Labor Pains and Birth Stories (edited by Jessica Powers). I have also been a technical consultant for articles appearing in Fit Pregnancy, American Baby, and Conceive Magazine.

I have 15 years of journalism experience as a reporter, sportswriter and copy editor. I've won a handful of newspaper writing awards and copy edited the Pulitzer Prize-winning series on the tragic winter drowning of four young boys in Lawrence, Mass. I'm currently a freelance writer covering Front Range businesses and health care, I edit my church newsletter, and I’m also actively involved with the Colorado Press Women (CPW). I'm married and the proud Mama of a young son.

I enjoy raising a girl and two boys, the youngest born in 2009. I have a Master's degree in TESL and although not currently working, I have taught English as a Second Language in Oregon, Colorado, and Japan. My writing has been published online by TESL-EJ and Utmost Christian Writers. Beyond that, my main interests are photography, traveling, and web development. I also participate in a MOPS group.

Recently, I have written mostly poems and journal entries. I am the co-author of Images of America: Waikīkī with Arcadia publishing. I have some poems published in Chaminade Literary Review and Aulama, both out of Honolulu. In between my BA in English and motherhood, I spent six months freelancing for community newspapers on O’ahu’s North Shore and enjoyed this work immensely, but never got paid. Recently laid off, I’m now looking to writing again as a means of income, but since I usually find that delivering Pizzas or chopping carrots brings a more steady paycheck, I’m not terribly optimistic. I also have one of those advanced degrees that American society tells us is important. It is in American Studies and Historic Preservation. Most recently I had the most fun in this field digging for arrowheads on the Fort Carson Military Reservation as part of a survey for CEMML, CSU in Cultural Resources. I have one amazing girl, Clara Mahala Kraus, Age 5. She is not only the love of my life, but one of the funniest and smartest people I know. I learn something from her every day.
I'll definitely be there!
